Community

Commitment to service is a way of life at Paycor. It drives us to go the extra mile for our clients. And it keeps us connected to the communities where we live and work. There aren’t many companies that have accomplished in their communities what Paycor has.

Flying Pig Marathon

A Cincinnati institution, the Flying Pig Marathon was founded by Paycor CEO Bob Coughlin in 1998 and was quickly recognized as one of the most successful new events in running. It has been hugely successful in raising millions of dollars in charitable contributions. Although the Flying Pig is now an independent non-profit, Paycor still provides integral support through participation on the board, corporate sponsorship, individual and team race participants, and a host of Paycor volunteers who arrive on race day at 4:30a.m. to support the runners!

Team-in-Training Program

Team in Training is the world’s largest endurance sports training program.  It provides training to run or walk marathons and half marathons or participate in triathlons and century bike rides.  Through this program, volunteer participants raise money for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.  Not only are we a Corporate Sponsor for this program, we also developed the software system that is used today to process donations from more than 60 chapters nationwide.  An entire department within Paycor is dedicated to processing Team in Training donations.

Higher M-Pact

Paycor provides support and expertise to this Kansas City-based group, which engages in the lives of high-risk youth, and the communities in which they live, by offering positive guidance and creating mentoring relationships. Paycor associates serve on the group’s board, providing business guidance, counsel and strategy on programs, fundraising and logistics.

Other Community Involvement

Paycor associates donate their time and skills to a wide range of other community activities. We have, for instance, “adopted” a local elementary school where dozens of associates tutor students, the majority of whom live at or below the poverty level. Our math-minded associates also give back to the public schools through the "Accounting for Kids" program that introduces financial concepts to children. And we encourage our associates to support the United WayFine Arts FundLeukemia & Lymphoma Society and much more.
