The National Restaurant Association and the State Restaurant Associations (specifically Florida) are taking steps to get the U.S. Department of Labor to delay or end new regulations that could negatively impact restaurants with tipped employees. The new DOL regulations require employers to provide tip credit notices to tipped employees. If restaurants fail to comply, they could lose the ability to apply any tip earnings towards minimum wage.
