Georgia Reform Bill Takes Effect Immediately

Georgia employers now have the authority to file garnishment requests through authorized personnel. On Tuesday, February 7, 2012, Georgia Governor, Nathan Deal, signed into law HB 683. This bill removes the unnecessary regulation of allowing only attorneys to respond to Georgia garnishments.
