Newton Software Accommodates Rapid Expansion with New Office in Fort Collins, ColoradoPosted on October 13, 2016
SAN FRANCISCO, CA (PRWEB) – October 13, 2016
Newton, headquartered in San Francisco, tapped into the power of its deep recruiting subject matter expertise to conduct a labor study, which revealed out of all the cities Newton initially considered, Fort Collins has one of the largest pools of relevant talent, including cloud-based software developers and engineers, as well as the highest density of talent with four-year degrees in Computer Science.
The exceptional talent, coupled with Fort Collins’ vibrant community, history and culture made the city a perfect fit for Newton. With this new office, Newton is fueling the growth of Fort Collins’ economy including a budding tech scene, and plans to hire 40 additional employees this coming year.
To celebrate the grand opening of its new office, Newton will be hosting an open house on Oct. 18, where the Fort Collins community will have an opportunity to receive a tour of the new office, enjoy food and drinks and mingle.

“Newton’s expanding footprint in Fort Collins is a testament to the number of talented professionals in the community and to the quality of the community itself,” says Joel Passen, Newton’s Co-Founder. “While Silicon Valley arguably has the world’s greatest concentration of tech talent, we were looking for a location that offered our team an affordable, enjoyable lifestyle and we found that in Fort Collins. While we develop technology, we really see Newton as a ‘people company,’ and we feel fortunate to have the opportunity to grow our office in Colorado.”
“Since its inception in 1880, this building has seen a lot of changes. It has evolved from a livery stable, to a bowling alley and billiards parlor, the original Lyric Theater, home of The Fort Collins Coloradoan newspaper, followed by the Senior Center and Tailgate Tommy’s rooftop restaurant, and now Newton Software,” said Chris Ray, owner of Vantage Properties Management LLC. “We are excited to be welcoming Newton to this historic building and be a part of their growth in Colorado.”
