A Truck Full of Love from Paycor Community Partners

For the past 6 years, Paycor Associate Chris W. has led a Community Partners event to collect canned goods for La Salle High School's Truck Full of Love.

La Salle hosts the Truck Full of Love every year during October and November to collect canned goods to help stock the shelves of multiple food banks and soup kitchens. Their goal this year is 50,000 pounds.

In the words of Chris, "This event is truly awe inspiring. I have been involved with this event for the last 6 years and watching the young men of La Salle come together to canvas neighborhoods into the evening in whatever the weather brings to collect for those in need is truly an inspiration.

"Last year, my goal was 300 pounds of canned goods and we smashed that goal by collecting 566 pounds! So this year I set an ambitious goal of 600 pounds."

So, did we beat our goal?

Just a little. One of our Sales teams, led by a La Salle alum, had a contest around the food drive, helping Paycor collect almost 70 pounds of food in just the first 3 days of the event. By 2 weeks in, we had collected more than 370 pounds.

Our grand total at the end of the collection drive was a whopping 1117.2 pounds of canned goods! 78 Paycor Associates donated goods or money, helping to nearly double Chris' original goal.

Chris said at the end of the event, "I can't even express what Paycor Associates' generosity means to me, the LaSalle community, and the families that will be impacted over the next 9 months.

"The good news is that we raised 1117 pounds this year. The better news is that next year's goal will be 1200 pounds!"
