H-2B Final Rule

New regulations were announced by the Department of Labor, effective on April 23, 2012, to improve the H-2B temporary non-agricultural worker program. The final rule intends to make more jobs available to United States workers as well as strengthen worker protections. The Department also published the method for calculating the prevailing wages to be paid to H-2B workers and U.S. workers recruited in connection with a temporary labor certification. This method applies for wages paid for all work performed on or after January 1, 2012.
