Paycor Increases Support of the Flying Pig

Paycor increases support of the Flying Pig and becomes title sponsor of the Half Marathon, also announces Flying Pig Flashback contest

Paycor, a founding sponsor of the Cincinnati Flying Pig Marathon, powered by P&G, recently announced that it will increase its support of the Marathon and become the title sponsor of the Flying Pig Marathon’s half marathon race.

Beginning this year, the 13.1 mile race will now be called the Flying Pig Paycor Half Marathon. The event will be held as part of the Flying Pig weekend, which takes place April 29-May 1, 2016.

The Flying Pig Marathon was founded by Paycor CEO Bob Coughlin. The company has been a major supporter of the race since its inception in 1999 and Coughlin is a board member.

“We are excited for Paycor to sponsor the half marathon, our fastest growing race by participation numbers,” said Iris Simpson Bush, executive director. “We wouldn’t have the Flying Pig Marathon without Bob Coughlin’s vision and we thank him for his continued generosity.”

Enter the Flying Pig Flashback Contest!

To launch its new sponsorship, Paycor is announcing the Flying Pig Flashback Contest. Starting Monday, January 11, participants are invited to share their favorite Flying Pig moment by uploading their “pigtale” to between Monday, January 11 and Monday, January 18 at 5 p.m. (EST). A team at Paycor will select the best “pigtales” and winners will be notified after the deadline. Prizes include complimentary entry into the Paycor Half and a training shirt. A total of 13 submissions will be chosen.

The Flying Pig weekend has events for athletes of any and all abilities, from the Pampers Diaper Dash to the full and half marathon and relays on Sunday. The “Pig” also promotes activities and fitness year-round with events such as the Christian Moerlein Beer Series (Bockfest 5K on March 5, Little Kings Mile over Flying Pig weekend on April 29 and Hudepohl 14K and 7K on September 17), and the Queen Bee Half Marathon on October 8.
